I recently had the absolute joy of capturing an unforgettable wedding at the stunning Ragged Point Inn on the breathtaking California Coast. Nestled between towering cliffs and the vast Pacific Ocean, Ragged Point provided the perfect backdrop for one of the most fun, laid-back couples I’ve ever worked with.
From the moment I met Larissa and Ken, I knew their wedding day would be something special. These two were the epitome of easy-going! Every smile, every laugh, and every moment felt genuine (just look at their beautiful wedding photos), making my job that much more easy.
But here’s where the story gets even better… Ken, the adventurous groom, decided to go on a pre-wedding hike the day before – not just any hike, but one of those "I'm-in-California-let's-soak-up-the-sun" kind of hikes. The result? A sunburn of epic proportions! I’ve got to hand it to him though, he laughed it off, showing up on the big day with humor and confidence, despite the extra red glow on his face!
The ceremony took place on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific, with the sounds of crashing waves and a crazy coastal breeze making everything feel as exciting and energetic as our couple. But even with the gusts, they both laughed and embraced it, turning the whole thing into one of those wonderfully unforgettable moments. In fact, it added a touch of wild romance to the whole day – like something straight out of a movie!
The reception was nothing short of a party – full of energy, laughter, and a whole lot of dancing. The backdrop of Ragged Point Inn made everything feel timeless, and Larissa and Ken’s infectious personalities made every photo feel alive.
Just as we stepped out of the reception we were hit with this beautiful golden hour light that just screamed to be a part of the wedding. So we swiftly ran to the best spot for some breathtaking couples photos. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love being a wedding photographer on the California coast.
